DIY Glitter Glassware

I tend to save all glassware. Anything from a wine bottle to a condiment jar --if it's glass, I like to clean it out and stick it under the sink with good intentions of repurposing it when a crafty spell hits. Well, those crafty spells never rarely come.

Thankfully, this weekend one hit! I previously had spray painted a wine bottle and condiment jar it hopes of eventually putting silver glitter strips on them. And, in good Martha Steward fashion, this weekend I got crafty and decided to tackle the glitter glassware Pinterest epidemic!

Here's what you need:
1. clean glassware
2. any color spray paint
(or none at all! It's up to you!)
3. double sided tape
4. glitter
5. a paint brush/sponge brush
If you do decide to spray paint the bottles first, wait until they are completely dry (Duh) then place the double sided tape on the bottle in whatever pattern you like. For the first one, I did evenly spaced rings around the entire bottle.

Then sprinkle the glitter onto the tape, making sure all sticky adhesive is  completely covered.
Use the brush to wipe off the excess glitter from the bottle.
That's it! Super easy, huh? I mean if I can do, you can do it.

My original intention was to bring these out closer to the Christmas season as a little holiday decor, but I liked them and was super proud of myself for actually completing a Pinterest find so now they are displayed on my mantel.

Glitter in October? I can't see anything wrong with that at all.
