Some of you reading this personally know me-- and I thank you so, so much for reading! I created this little space to keep in touch with all my family and friends from the east coast. My hope is that through chronicling my adventures, I can keep those I love most involved in my life and as excited as I am about the journey ahead; however, if you did just happen to stumble across my blog sphere, feel free to look around and stop by again! I'd love to have you.

Originally from West Virginia, I now reside in Washington state. I am a technical writer by day, but at night I shake off the formality and simply let my fingers fly across the keyboard. Writing is my life-blood, and this is one of the places where I write. Letting my critical eye take back seat so my creativity can take the reins is sometimes a struggle, so don't be surprised if you stumble across posts that seem like a bunch of incoherent ramblings. They may just be simply that.

My little blog came about 3 months after I moved from the east to west coast to be with the love of my life; hence, the blogs title. At that time, I thought our love was rare and powerful enough to warrant moving across the country to be with him. Now, almost two years later, I know I was right. You can read our love story here, and all about our rustic, lakeside wedding here!

In February 2014, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Jack Ryan, into this world. Steven and I are quite smitten. You can read all about our birth story here.

Hi Danielle! How long have you been in Seattle for? I just left Seattle & moved 3 hours south to Portland, but still make it up there quite a bit. Hope you're enjoying it out here :)

I came from Story of My Life as well and although I didn't go to another coast, I moved up the coast (from California to Washington State) just a few days ago to be with my love. Looking forward to reading along!

Just found you from Rustic Living - I'm moving in November to be with the love of my life, too! Moving from Ohio to Alabama - we were shooting to be stationed in California but it worked out to be Alabama instead! Looking forward to your future posts! :)
