Fix It.

Via
If you were to ask me for one thing that I have taken away form premarital counseling I would say that MARRIAGE IS GOING TO BE TOUGH!
obvi.

Communication
Respect
Love
Selflessness
Kindness
....
The list could go on and on.
It's not that this is new information to me.
I have heard people say all my life that marriage is one of the hardest things they have ever done.

Marriage is tough.
A sacrifice.
A blessing.
A giving of ones' self.
Daily.
A continual outpouring of every good thing in you to give to another.

Marriage is exhausting.
Exhilarating.
Terrifying.
An ever-changing, developing, mind-blowing whirlwind.

And since you and I live in a fallen world,
Marriage is broken.
We must massage, mend, and mold it.
And then get up the next day and do it again.

But I've also learned,
that if done right,
MARRIAGE IS WORTH IT.

Marriage takes commitment. Without the unwavering commitment, it'll crumble. It's the most wonderful, horrifying, hardest and most rewarding journey I've ever been on.

I've only been married for about 9 months, and I can honestly say it is the most rewarding, challenging, frustrating, and fulfilling thing I've ever done. Sometimes I could scream because my hubby is being especially frustrating or man-like (they just can't help themselves), but then I think about this wonderful life we're building together and remind myself to take a deep breathe. It is SO worth it!

I love this and it's so true! It;s refreshing to see this post; it seems as though "throwing it away" is the very first option these days. Having all of this in mind and acknowledging it, your marriage will last a lifetime!

Marriage is so worth the hard work. It makes the up times euphoric and the down times bearable. We weren't meant to walk alone.
