11 Questions

Sweet, funny Gail, from Sophisticated Steps, tagged me in an Q&A. Being photo-less today, I thought I'd answer her questions in hopes to entertain you. If nothing else, you'll probably learn a thing or two about me you didn't know before, which is oh. so. important.
.....................................

1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Somewhere warmer --where the sun shines at least more than once a week. But Steven wouldn’t move, so I’ll just rough it out in Seattle until I’m diagnosed with seasonal depression.

2. What's the nicest thing someone has ever said to you (or complimented you on)?
Yesterday at hot yoga a girl told me I have nice eyebrows. That was probably the weirdest compliment I’ve ever received, not necessarily the nicest. But it IS the most recent, and therefore the only one I can remember.

3. What's your biggest pet peeve?
The banana noise. You know that person who chews his/her food with that sticky, slimy, nasty sound similar to the noise made when eating bananas? I want to kill them…
..and bad drivers.

4. What's your best and worst quality (if you'll admit it - ha!)?
I don’t know if others would consider this a good quality…but I think a “good quality” I possess is the ability to be alone, still, and silent. I have quiet, tranquil hobbies. I think the practice of solitude is hard to come by because people are so dang busy these days! Just take a deep breathe and slow down, my friends!! Also, I tend to be a very anxious person {my worst quality perhaps?}, and I need that time to be away from others and just be alone. Being alone can be very, very nice.

5. Coffee or tea? And what do you put in it?
Coffee is my bff and currently I put a little york peppermint patty creamer in it.

6. Would you rather go out dancing or see a movie?
See a movie. On my couch. In sweat pants. With the boy and the pup.

7. What's your greatest accomplishment so far?
Hmm. I’ll go with getting my BA in English.

8. What is your biggest goal/dream?
To be a published author.

9. What's your favorite song? And can you actually sing? ;)
I don’t have a favorite song. I never have. Steven and I don’t even have a “relationship” song, which apparently means we will never last in this world. Don’t get me wrong --I like music. I just don’t have A song. And yes, as a matter of fact I can sing. Or so I’ve been told…

10. What is the messiest room in your house?
Nothing is messy. You can eat off my toilet seat. I’m serious.

11. Why did you start a blog?
You can read about that here.

Hope you have a great day!

This Weekend..

I did hot yoga.
Which is improperly named.
It should be called 'volcanic' yoga,
or 'prepare to die' yoga.
"Hot" just doesn't quiet suffice.
Luckily, I didn't throw up.
And I'm going again tonight.

I went house hunting with Steven.
It was kind of fustrating --because, for the most part,
the homes in person were nothing like we anticipated from the photos online.

I watched a lot of TV.
And am not proud of that fact...

...but I did love the cuddle time with my fiancé and pup.

I went for a walk
and took this picture of Huck.
He found that stick and kept it the entire walk.
Cute. He makes me smile.

And that, my friends, is the only photo I took all weekend.
Sorry to disappoint.

Now let's hunker down and get through this Monday, shall we?

I'm like the Paparrazzi

So sneaky.
{Err, and creepy.}
 Sneaky.
 Sneaky.
 Sneaky.
 Sneaky.
 Caught.
Sneaky. Silly pup.

Hope You Have A Great Weekend!

Huck's Vocabulary

Huckleberry has quite an extensive vocabulary for an almost 6 month old {gasp!} pup.
Some of his favorite words are
Treat (obviously)
Get it
{Not fetch. He looks at me like I'm an alien when I say fetch.}
Shake
Outside
and Ice.
{We let Huck eat ice..he loves it.}

Thankfully, he now also knows the commands
Sit
Lay Down
Stay
Come
Go Potty
Leave it
{Whether he chooses to acknowledge that one depends on his mood.}
and Let's Go.

Ice and let's go are my favorites. He's soooo cute when he hears these words.
Let's go simply means let's walk side by side. But Huck can anticipate when I'm going to say it and his excitement makes me laugh. Ice is cute too. Whenever he hears the word he runs to the freezer and sits beside it until we give him an ice cube.
He looks so expectant waiting for what command I'm about to say!
Love, love, love this pup!

One, Wiz, Wit!

That means one cheesesteak with cheese whiz and onions.

While in Philly this past weekend, Steven had to make the tough decision between a Geno's or Pat's cheesesteak. I'm sure you've heard of both of these historic cheesesteak landmarks. If not, simply turn to the Food Network channel and catch some reruns. Steven was torn, and the fact that these dives are directly across the street from one another only complicated the matter.
Steven finally decided on Pat's. Not only has it been around longer (1933 compared to Geno's 1966), but let's face it, the line was shorter --it was the obvious choice.

I made Steven order the cheesesteak because I was intimidated by the big, Italian men yelling in their thick northern accents "eh you, hurry up and order already!..What?!? We don't do that! Go to the back of the line!"

Like a pro, Steven orders, "one, whiz, wit!"

It was pretty tasty. Not BLOW MY MIND tasty. But at places like this you pay for the experience, not the sandwich.

It was a good experience.

Have you ever ate at a famous restaurant? Or some place showcased on the Food Network?
