What I Wore // More Birds

The other day Steven and I made a quick trip to Kohl's. We had a 15% off coupon (does anyone else get bombarded with Kohl's coupons?) and decided it needed to be used pronto. I always have good luck at Kohl's and  I'm obsessed with Lauren Conrad's collection there was in need of a new summer dress of two. 

While browsing the sales, Steven saw this navy blue dress with neon green birds on it and said I should try it on. I laughed, thinking it looked quite obnoxious, but tried it on to appease him....and ya'll, I fell in love with it! Turns out, Steven knows my fashion preferences better than myself ;)

The above is a bad picture, but I just had to show you my photobombing pup!! He is so ridiculous! Ridiculously cute, that is. 

This is my second what I wore post with birds on it. I don't particularly care for birds, I've just found some oddly cool pieces with birds on them recently! It's strange, I know... Go ahead and judge me.

Sometimes you just stumble across something and it quickly becomes your go-to. You have no reason for it, and can't lay your finger on what exactly it is that draws you towards it so...but you love it.

In other news, I'm late to the blogging game today because I went to the Dr. for a little checkup. Turns out I'm fit as a fiddle and I'm pretty stoked about that. She also told me some interesting information in light of my yeast free cleanse that I hope to share with you soon. You might get grossed out, but no worries, I won't include pictures...

What's more fun on Valentine's Day than an awkward outfit post? This little photo session showed me that Washington has made an albino out of me and I have awkward arms. And more importantly, that my husband must love me very much to snap 1,000 photos just to have me delete most of them exclaiming that I look atrocious. 

(Sometimes I think this blogging business is a little more taxing on our men than we'd like to admit.) 

But I digress...

It's Valentine's Day! A few weeks ago Steven asked what my ideal Valentine's Day would be like. I told him yummy food, good conversation, and cuddling. His response was no diamonds? no flowers? I just laughed and told him we can't afford diamonds and flowers die! But the truth is, even if we had all the money in the world and flowers never wilted, I would have given him the same answer in regards to my ideal Valentine's Day spent with him. 

So we made reservations a this quaint, little Italian restaurant at 7, and I have a feeling the most relaxing, intimate evening is in store for us.

Turns out, I'm not the only one who prefers a low key Valentine's Day. Have you met Tiff? She's the blogger behind My Smile Saga. Like me, she's a crazy girl who moved for love, but she ended up in my home state of West Virginia! Not going to lie, I'm a little jealous!
